Dogs

Did you hear the news this past week? An Oregon Great Dane ate 43 and a half socks, which fortunately were able to be surgically removed by a Portland-area veterinary hospital. In honor of this Oregon dog, today we're sharing images of a few more of man's best friends.

Andrew Eberly's dog, a Blue Heeler named Little, gets a bit impatient and tries to hurry things up, while the silly humans chat. Little is a year and a half, and high energy - he prefers running along with Andrew's bike to leisurely park walks. (at Peninsula Park in North Portland) Photo by Keri Friedman

Birds

Oregon is home to more than 400 species of birds, making us fifth in bird species diversity in the United States. Several shooters captured members of Oregon's bird population on July 15th -- we hope you enjoy their beautiful images!
